UCLA remains Big Ten's last unbeaten team after 17-7 win
No. 12 UCLA beat Wisconsin 17-7 in Pasadena to improve to 6-0, its best start since 2022, and become the Big Ten’s last unbeaten team. Making his first career start in place of injured quarterback Nico Iamaleava, Ty Dieffenbach completed 22 of 33 passes for 264 yards, while Wayne Knight and Anthony Woods scored rushing touchdowns. UCLA’s defense held Wisconsin to 214 total yards and seven points, despite the Badgers trimming the lead to 10-7 in the third quarter. The win marked a milestone for first-year coach Bob Chesney, whose Bruins are 4-0 in conference play and emerging as a College Football Playoff contender.
