Texans Acquire Marvin Harrison Jr. From Cardinals
The Houston Texans acquired wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals for a second-round pick, giving the former No. 4 overall selection a fresh start alongside his former Ohio State quarterback, C.J. Stroud. Harrison had struggled in Arizona, catching five passes for 85 yards and a touchdown in his first four games this season before being inactive in Week 5. Houston says it is aware of effort concerns visible on his Arizona film but has seen no sign of those issues in his early practices; Stroud has praised Harrison’s speed, strength and adjustment to the offense. General manager Nick Caserio expects the team may need three to four weeks to determine Harrison’s role, while the receiver says he is focused on moving forward and can handle any assignment. His first chance to begin building a place in Houston’s offense is against Jacksonville in London, where his existing connection with Stroud could help the Texans add a downfield threat.
