Severson Scores, Adds Assist in Blue Jackets' Win

Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Damon Severson made his season debut against Pittsburgh after missing the team’s first two games while recovering from shoulder surgery. Reunited with Zach Werenski on the top defensive pair, Severson scored a goal and added an assist in Columbus’ 3-2 shootout win. His return strengthened a defense dealing with other injuries; he had recorded 32 points in 71 games the previous season.
