McCoy Links Herbert Struggles to Beer Attention

The Los Angeles Chargers fell to 0-4 after a 30-23 loss to Seattle, in which Justin Herbert threw two interceptions—including one on his first pass—and lost a fumble on a late strip-sack. Former NFL running back LeSean McCoy speculated on a podcast that Herbert may be struggling with the attention surrounding his relationship with pop star and fiancée Madison Beer, and criticized his decision-making while rejecting the idea that Herbert is a fraud. Herbert has thrown six interceptions against four touchdowns this season. Fans and commentators have echoed the relationship-distraction theory, but there is no evidence that Beer or the relationship has affected his play.
