Larkin Makes Red Wings Season Debut
Dylan Larkin made his season debut for Detroit against Ottawa on Tuesday after missing the Red Wings’ first two games with an upper-body injury, returning to the top line alongside Lucas Raymond and Viktor Arvidsson. Larkin had requested a trade in June, was stripped of the captaincy and was booed at the home opener, but Detroit did not trade him. The Red Wings began the season with two losses and just two goals. Detroit placed forwards Mason Appleton and Marco Kasper on injured reserve, with both expected to be out week to week, and used 11 forwards and seven defensemen. Carter Mazur and defenseman William Wallinder also made their season debuts.
