Falcons’ Offense Surges in Win Over Saints
Michael Penix Jr.’s return has helped transform Atlanta’s offense: after scoring 16 points in its first two games, the Falcons scored 80 during consecutive wins over Green Bay and New Orleans. Atlanta beat the Saints 45–24, tying a franchise record with five rushing touchdowns; Bijan Robinson ran for 145 yards and two scores, and Brian Robinson added three touchdowns. Penix completed 15 of 20 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown without an interception, including a 31-yard scoring pass to Jahan Dotson, and his passing helped open up the ground game. The Falcons topped 200 rushing yards for a second straight game and improved to 2–2 ahead of a tougher test against the Ravens. Questions remain about tight end Kyle Pitts’ limited involvement.
