Alabama Routs Mississippi State 56-23

Alabama beat Mississippi State 56-23 to stay unbeaten, as quarterback Keelon Russell threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns, added a rushing score, and defensive back Dijon Lee Jr. returned an interception for a touchdown. The Tide capitalized on costly Bulldogs turnovers. Before the game, Nick Saban had warned Alabama to respect Mississippi State’s scoring threat and the hostile Starkville atmosphere, despite Alabama’s dominant history in the series. Alabama next faces undefeated Georgia, whose offense is averaging 51.4 points per game; Georgia coach Kirby Smart praised Russell’s talent and development. Georgia has gone 2-7 against Alabama during Smart’s tenure.
