Raiola guides Oregon past USC, 41-27

Backup Dylan Raiola led Oregon to a 41-27 win over USC on Sept. 26, 2026 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum after starter Dante Moore exited injured. Raiola went 19-of-25 for 289 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers. Moore went down in the second quarter on a hit by Desman Stephens II while sliding; targeting was called and Stephens ejected. Oregon scored 38 of its 41 points afterward and on six of its final seven possessions. Raiola's first throw was a touchdown to Evan Stewart; his 29-yard strike to Dakorien Moore later broke a 27-27 tie. Dakorien Moore said the targeting brought anger and the team vowed to do it for Dante. Raiola called it a complicated moment of connection they latched onto and sent love to his brother five. Lanning said Raiola prepared like his number would be called. One account described Stephens laughing and taking high fives on the sideline after the hit; Riley said he did not see gloating and noted Stephens is on the team. Sources differ on the first touchdown distance as 2 or 3 yards and on the hospital name.
