Olivia Miles Wins Unanimous WNBA Rookie Award
Minnesota Lynx guard Olivia Miles was unanimously named the 2026 WNBA Rookie of the Year, receiving all 74 media votes after averaging 19.8 points, 6.0 assists and 4.7 rebounds in 40 games. The 23-year-old led Minnesota in scoring and assists, scored a rookie-record 790 points to surpass Caitlin Clark’s 2024 mark, set rookie records for three-pointers in a game and 20-point games, swept all four Rookie of the Month awards, and was the only rookie selected to start the All-Star Game. Minnesota finished with the league’s best regular-season record and top playoff seed. Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve won Coach of the Year for a record fifth time, receiving 40 votes. Minnesota faced elimination after losing its playoff opener 91-75 to the New York Liberty, with Game 2 scheduled for Tuesday.
