Solidigm weighs IPO valuing unit up to $150B
Solidigm, SK Hynix's U.S.-based NAND flash and SSD subsidiary, is weighing a U.S. IPO as soon as 2027 that could value the unit at up to $150 billion and raise about $15 billion. It held presentations with investment banks this week to discuss advisers and underwriters. Plans remain preliminary, and timing and size could change with market conditions. Solidigm joined SK Hynix after the 2021 purchase of Intel's NAND flash memory business and a rename. It is based in Rancho Cordova, California, has more than 2,000 employees, and operates from 13 locations globally. Its enterprise SSDs can hold as much as 122 terabytes in a device roughly the size of a pack of cards. In August it signed a multi-year agreement giving CoreWeave priority access to enterprise SSD capacity. Rated outlets agree on the valuation range, bank meetings, and preliminary status. No dispute on those points appears in the record. Whether and when a formal offering proceeds is unresolved and tied to market conditions.
