Sharks Scratch Captain Celebrini With Lower-Body Injury

San Jose Sharks captain Macklin Celebrini was scratched Monday night against the Dallas Stars with a lower-body injury. The Sharks announced it a few minutes before puck drop. Celebrini took part in warmups but left the ice earlier than usual. Ty Dellandrea made his season debut in Celebrini's place. Celebrini, 20 and recently named captain, had five assists in San Jose's first two games, both overtime wins. He assisted on Igor Chernyshov's overtime goal Saturday that made the Sharks 2-0. Over the summer he signed a five-year, $94 million extension after recording 115 points in 82 games last season. The team did not say how he was injured.
