San Antonio Man Sentenced 16 Years for Fentanyl
Daniel Mendoza Jr., a 44-year-old San Antonio man, was sentenced to 16 years and 8 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing fentanyl with intent to distribute. Prosecutors said he advertised drugs on social media and sold fentanyl- and fluorofentanyl-laced pills in Schertz. Investigators found additional drugs and a firearm when they searched his home after his 2026 arrest. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office.
