Salvation Army Angel Tree Sign-Ups Open Across Communities

Salvation Army Angel Tree programs and other local holiday-assistance efforts are opening applications or organizing Christmas support for families and children in need. Programs in Evansville, Lincoln County and the Mississippi Gulf Coast are accepting sign-ups or preparing to do so, with eligibility rules and deadlines varying by location; some also provide help to seniors or older siblings. In Caldwell County, organizers aim to assist 150 children, while Lubbock’s program has already registered about 500 children from 215 families. Organizers say donated gifts and community volunteers are essential to providing children with holiday presents and basic necessities.
