Deputies and bystanders rescue drivers from burning vehicles in two crashes
In Orange County, Florida, two sheriff’s deputies and two unidentified bystanders rescued a woman trapped in a burning car after a crash; she survived and was taken to a hospital. The sheriff’s office is seeking the bystanders’ identities so it can thank and recognize them. In a separate incident near Kansas City, a police detective and a Clay County sheriff’s deputy pulled a disoriented driver from a burning truck; the driver was hospitalized with burns, and the truck later exploded.
