Ravens, Texans block Cowboys kicks in consecutive weeks
The Cowboys have had Brandon Aubrey field-goal attempts blocked in consecutive games, with Houston copying the approach Baltimore used after identifying a weakness in Dallas’ protection around the C and D gaps. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the problem lies with the blocking, not Aubrey, and called the repeated breakdown surprising but fixable. Coach Brian Schottenheimer plans to adjust the protection and potentially move linemen as Dallas prepares for Tampa Bay, though Drew Shelton may miss the game with a hamstring injury. In the Houston game, KaVontae Turpin’s long kickoff returns also helped set up second-half scoring drives for Dallas.
