Norwegian Teen Jailed 20 Years for UK Plot
Norwegian teenager Johannes Kongsnes Natland, 19, was sentenced to 20 years’ detention in Britain after being convicted of conspiracy to murder. Prosecutors said he traveled to England in March 2025 to kill an unidentified target for payment after being recruited by members of Sweden’s Foxtrot organized crime group, which authorities say is linked to Iran. Police arrested him at a Huddersfield hotel and seized two firearms and ammunition; no one was harmed. Natland admitted possessing the weapons but denied intending to carry out the killing, while the judge said evidence showed he pursued the plan despite opportunities to withdraw.
