NFL investigates official's exchange with Cardinals tight end McBride
The NFL is investigating after line judge Jeff Seeman was caught on camera apparently swearing at Cardinals tight end Trey McBride during Arizona’s 36-24 loss to the New York Giants. The exchange followed a third-down play on which Arizona believed Giants defender Dru Phillips had made illegal contact with McBride, but no penalty was called. The NFL Players Association’s executive director called the official’s conduct unacceptable and urged the league to hold officials to the same standards as players. McBride pointed toward the camera after the exchange, which quickly drew attention online; the league has not announced whether Seeman will face discipline.
