Man charged in alleged casino-winner robbery
Ronnell L. Williams, 36, of St. Louis, is accused of watching a woman win about $3,203 at DraftKings at Casino Queen in East St. Louis, then following her across the Eads Bridge into Missouri. Police say he tried to get her to stop by claiming her muffler was loose, then forced her car off the road and pointed a gun at her, demanding her winnings. Investigators used casino surveillance footage and vehicle data to identify Williams; it is unclear whether he obtained any money. He faces charges of first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.
