Kenosha Teen Detained After Gun Found in Maze
A 16-year-old was taken into custody after witnesses reported seeing him handling a handgun in the corn maze at Jerry Smith Pumpkin Farm in Kenosha County. He admitted possessing the gun and said he discarded it while fleeing from security; a deputy and K-9 later found the unloaded 9 mm handgun and an empty 30-round magazine among the corn stalks. Deputies also recovered a vape pen that tested positive for THC. Authorities sought juvenile charges related to the weapon and THC, with reports differing on the specific charges requested. The teen was released to a parent with housing restrictions at the direction of juvenile court intake.
