Jets activate Tim Patrick from injured reserve ahead of Browns game

The New York Jets activated wide receiver Tim Patrick from injured reserve Saturday, making him available for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns and setting up his Jets debut after a groin injury sidelined him since the start of the season. Patrick practiced fully during the week and is expected to bolster a receiver group missing Adonai Mitchell and rookie Omar Cooper Jr. His role is uncertain behind Garrett Wilson, with Isaiah Williams and Sterling Shepard recently handling the next receiver spots. To make room, the Jets waived receiver Jamaal Pritchett and elevated linebacker Jaden Keller from the practice squad. Patrick, 32, had 15 catches for 187 yards and three touchdowns for Jacksonville last season.
