Info Edge Q2 billings rise 12.8% but shares drop nearly 3%

Info Edge reported standalone billings of ₹822.3 crore in Q2 FY27, up 12.8% year over year. First-half billings rose 13.5% to ₹1,559.3 crore. Recruitment stayed the largest business, with billings up 12.6% to ₹613.8 crore; the company estimated underlying recruitment growth of about 14%–15% after customer-renewal timing. 99acres billings climbed 21.2% to ₹148.3 crore. Matchmaking businesses grew 23.1% overall, including gains at Jeevansathi and Aisle. The company reported growing customer uptake and revenue contribution for B2B AI products AI-Rex and Talent Pulse. Shares fell nearly 3% on October 8. Shiksha was the weak spot: billings fell 27.2% to ₹20.5 crore. Info Edge attributed the drop to AI-powered search reducing referrals, said it is developing offerings to cut reliance on search traffic, and expects pressure to persist during the transition.
