Hospital arrivals spur shooting probes in four cities
Police in Buffalo, Charleston, Sarasota County, and Syracuse are investigating separate shootings after men sought hospital treatment for gunshot wounds. In Buffalo, a man was wounded in the torso, and detectives traced the shooting to South Division Street. Charleston police said a man with multiple gunshot wounds was in stable, non-life-threatening condition; investigators believe the incident near Temple Street and Clay Avenue was isolated and poses no ongoing public threat. In Sarasota County, investigators linked a man’s leg wound to a shooting on Gateway Avenue and reported no other injuries or continuing threat. Syracuse police are investigating a man’s non-life-threatening finger wound; they have not identified where the shooting occurred or whether it is connected to a nearby shots-fired report.
