Holly Madison Backs Jessica Biel’s Upcoming Playmates Film

Jessica Biel is set to play a fictionalized wife of Hugh Hefner in Playmates, a film about two young women competing to become Playboy Playmates. Lorraine Nicholson is the writer-director, Lily-Rose Depp stars, and Lewis Pullman portrays Hefner. Holly Madison has said she is looking forward to the film and praised Nicholson and Depp. Crystal Hefner, Hefner’s widow, has urged Biel to reconsider the role if the project romanticizes Hefner or Playboy. She says she experienced sexual, emotional, financial and physical abuse in their relationship, has called on the filmmakers to hear from women who lived through that era, and has warned against turning it into nostalgia. Biel has not publicly responded.
