Football Player Killed, Teammate Arrested in Texas Crash
Dylan Sebock, 23, a defensive end for Southeastern Oklahoma State University, died in a one-vehicle rollover crash around 1 a.m. on October 8, 2026, on US Highway 75 in Sherman, Texas. De'Taurean Johnson, a senior linebacker, was driving. Both were ejected. Sebock was found about 15 feet west of the service road and pronounced dead at the scene. Police responding to multiple calls found the vehicle with extensive damage. Johnson was found lying in the roadway and allegedly got up and attempted to flee when an officer approached, then was hospitalized and taken to Grayson County Jail. Sherman's Critical Accident Investigation Team collected evidence indicating Johnson was intoxicated. He was charged with intoxication manslaughter and held on $500,000 bond. The university confirmed one student died and the other was hospitalized, saying its hearts were with families, friends, teammates, and all those affected. Sebock, No. 97, was third-team all-conference last season with 32 tackles. Franki Sebock wrote that Dylan was goofy, football was only one part of who he was, and no parent should have to bury their child because another person made the decision to drink and drive.
