Florida Selected SEC Preseason Favorite for Second Year, Haugh Named Player of the Year

Florida was selected as the preseason favorite to win the SEC men’s basketball title for a second consecutive year, after winning the 2025-26 regular-season crown with a 16-2 conference record. Senior forward Thomas Haugh was named preseason SEC Player of the Year and earned first-team All-SEC recognition alongside center Rueben Chinyelu; forward Alex Condon was named to the second team. Florida was the only school with three players on the preseason All-SEC teams.
