Five Face Federal Charges in Juárez Prison Drug Operation
Federal prosecutors charged five people in an alleged drug-trafficking operation that moved methamphetamine and fentanyl from Ciudad Juárez into southern New Mexico, coordinated by Felix Anthony Salazar III, an American citizen incarcerated in a Juárez prison. Authorities allege that Salazar arranged multiple undercover purchases in New Mexico in 2025, including transactions involving methamphetamine and, in one case, fentanyl pills. The allegations include that Yadira Lizett Cano used a 16-year-old to deliver methamphetamine, while Moses Andrew Gonzales and Suleima Eidali Miranda allegedly made deliveries in other transactions. The investigation involved federal and local law enforcement agencies; the charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
