Teen arrested in fatal Gainesville Walmart shooting, second suspect sought
An 81-year-old bystander, James Edward McDaniel, was fatally shot outside a Walmart in Gainesville, Georgia, after a confrontation between two groups inside the store spilled into the parking lot and gunfire erupted. Police allege that 18-year-old Kamari Nehemiah Tilmuth and 17-year-old Erron Lamar Dorsey opened fire; McDaniel was leaving the store at the opposite end of the lot and was not involved. Tilmuth was arrested Sunday while authorities executed a search warrant and faces felony murder, aggravated assault and weapons charges. Dorsey remains at large and faces the same charges; police have urged the public not to approach him.
