Netflix Announces Daejon Love Fraud Documentary

Netflix announced Untold: Wide Deceiver, a forthcoming documentary about Daejon Love, whom prosecutors allege posed as a San Francisco 49ers player and used fabricated romantic relationships and fake investment pitches to defraud women. Authorities say Love and alleged accomplice Taylor Jamie Chan took more than $1.3 million from at least 26 victims, and investigators have identified additional potential victims. The film is expected to foreground firsthand accounts from women affected by the alleged scheme; Netflix has not announced a release date. Love has pleaded not guilty, and the criminal case is pending; he faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
