Irons Mills Farmstead in New Wilmington, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, revealed a Dolly Parton-themed corn maze in a Facebook post last month. Farms across the United States and Canada opened corn mazes featuring her likeness to raise money for her Imagination Library, which provides free books to young children up to 5 years old. About 20 farms are participating. 2026 marks the 31st anniversary of the Imagination Library. Dolly Parton died Aug. 25 at age 80. She appeared in a video promoting the corn maze initiative before her death. The initiative was planned before she died. Irons Mills sits on 150 acres with over 40 attractions and is open 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sundays through September, plus 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursdays starting Oct. 1. Its Facebook post said, "Dolly Parton didn't just give children books. She gave them stories to get lost in, places to dream about, and permission to imagine something bigger," and "In loving memory of Dolly Parton." Many farms also offer Parton-themed trivia, photo opportunities and other activities. Independent Journal Review said the effort took on added significance after tributes. J.D.
