Cape Coral Police Arrest Two in Abuse-Material Probe

Two residents of a Cape Coral, Florida, halfway house, William Plumley and Enrico Mendes Jr., were arrested on probation-violation charges after investigators found they possessed unauthorized internet-capable phones. Police said a resident reported seeing Plumley, a registered sex offender, viewing child sexual abuse material on his phone. A search of the home turned up several electronic devices, including a smashed phone concealed in a bathroom. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities say additional charges may follow.
