Boeing Wins $14.7B Patriot Seeker Contract
Boeing announced October 5, 2026 that Lockheed Martin awarded it an approximately $14.7 billion seven-year undefinitized contract action to supply PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement seekers. Boeing said the deal will triple seeker production and underwrites an April framework agreement with the Pentagon. The seekers help Patriot interceptors identify, track and engage threats including hypersonic, ballistic and cruise missiles and hostile aircraft. Boeing said it began ramping production and hiring earlier this year at its Huntsville, Alabama facilities and expects hundreds of direct and indirect jobs in the area. Steve Parker, president and CEO of Boeing Defense, Space and Security, said early investment and a relentless focus on quality and execution have positioned the company to deliver seekers at unprecedented levels in the near-term, and that Boeing teammates could not be prouder of protecting U.S. and allied service members, civilians and critical infrastructure. A nearly $59 billion PAC-3 MSE production contract vehicle went to Lockheed in July. In August Boeing disclosed Ultra Low-Cost Seeker development. Coverage varies on whether the figure is firm, potential, or up to $14.7 billion, matching the undefinitized contract action. Boeing has not disclosed specific quantities.
