Accenture Evaluators to Embed Inside Anthropic for AI Safety Tests

Anthropic and Accenture jointly announced a partnership on September 18, 2026. Each company plans to invest at least $1 billion over five years. Accenture evaluators led by Faculty get employee-level access to Anthropic's model development, safety practices and deployment decisions. Julie Sweet said, "Safety requires both deep technical expertise and a clear understanding." About 30,000 Accenture professionals will be trained on Claude. Accenture will become a premier partner for Claude Code, and the companies will establish a joint Claude Center of Excellence. Initial focus sectors are financial services, healthcare, life sciences, the public sector, engineering and value measurement. The deal follows a broader commercial Claude partnership launched in 2025 and Accenture's acquisition of Faculty on March 16, 2026. Accenture's stock price jumped following the announcement. The partnership is non-exclusive. Anthropic said it will announce additional independent evaluators in coming weeks and would prefer evaluation work funded via pooled or government money rather than paid for by AI labs. no contested claims found
