Arizona rallies from first-half deficit to top San Diego State 82-67

Arizona beat San Diego State 82-67 in an exhibition Friday, rallying from a first-half deficit and extending its lead to 19 in the second half before holding off a late Aztecs run. Motiejus Krivas posted 17 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks, while Ivan Kharchenkov added 13 points and 12 rebounds; Arizona’s 49-38 rebounding edge and 19 second-chance points helped offset its 34.7% shooting. Isaiah Sy led San Diego State with 17 points as the Aztecs—playing their first exhibition with a largely new roster—showed stretches of competitiveness against a highly regarded Arizona team; the Wildcats improved to 2-0 in exhibitions.
