Alligator Bioscience names CFO Giléus as CEO from 2027

Alligator Bioscience appointed current CFO Johan Giléus as CEO effective Jan. 1, 2027. He succeeds Søren Bregenholt, who remains CEO through Dec. 31, 2026, and will continue as CFO. The move follows the July 23, 2026 strategic refocus after the company halted internal development of mitazalimab; Alligator will run a minimal organization supported by its board and external consultants, centered on its financial interest in the HER2-targeted antibody HLX22 developed by Shanghai Henlius Biotech. Board chairman Hans-Peter Ostler said: "Sören has led Alligator with energy, integrity and perseverance, as he and his team have worked tirelessly during a challenging period for the biotech industry. Although the outcome for mitazalimab did not meet our expectations, Sören guided Alligator through its strategic refocusing with professionalism and care, and we are very grateful for all that he has contributed." MarketScreener reported the stock plunged more than 70% on July 23 and has lost nearly 98% over the past year. The Lund, Sweden firm (STO: ATORX) has 11 employees and a SEK133.3M market cap per TipRanks. No factual disputes appear in the rated coverage. The transition takes effect Jan. 1, 2027.
