Albuquerque Police Recover SUV Linked to Texas Murder

Police believe evidence indicates Marjulin Daiuru Briceño Arrieta, 42, was killed, though she has not been found. Richard Pastor Perez, 49, her estranged husband, is wanted on a murder warrant in her disappearance. Investigators say she was last known to have met him at his Denton apartment on Sept. 28; her vehicle was found abandoned nearby. Perez’s Ford Escape, reportedly bearing a switched license plate, was tracked across Texas and later found abandoned at an Albuquerque hotel. Surveillance showed a man matching Perez’s description leaving the SUV alone. Albuquerque police recovered the vehicle and shared evidence with Denton investigators. Perez’s whereabouts remain unknown.
