Eldon Tusk is the farmer-founder of XSpace Mars Builder — a bomber-jacketed optimist who sold everything on Earth, landed on Mars with a hoe and a spreadsheet, and declared the red planet 'a fixer-upper with great bones.' He measures wealth in Space Potatoes, names every Cyber-Chicken after a rocket, and will not rest until a Starship stands on his own launch pad.

Eldon Tusk was, by his own account, 'moderately successful' on Earth — a serial founder of companies that made things adjacent to things people wanted. Then one night he read that Mars was a dead world, took it personally, sold everything (the houses, the boats, an island he describes as 'mid'), and landed on the red planet with a hoe, a spreadsheet, and a bomber jacket. His first words on Martian soil are recorded in the colony log: 'great bones.'
- Water crops for the 30% boost — the first number every new colonist learns and the last one Eldon shuts up about.
- Greenhouses before luxury builds; the hot tub can wait, the potatoes cannot.
- Expand the fence line early — 'land is the one thing Mars is still making', he says, incorrectly but confidently.

The farm came first — potatoes, first-principled into profitability — then the Cyber-Chickens, the greenhouse ring, and the fence line that keeps expanding 'ahead of demand'. Every credit the farm earns is earmarked for the dream at the end of the spreadsheet: a Starship, on his own launch pad, built from potato margins. He is not joking. He is never quite joking.
Their world
The colony sits on a sun-blasted plain, measured in Sols and fence posts: greenhouse domes for the crops, solar arrays that must never sit uncollected, and the launch pad — currently a leveled square of regolith with a flag and a sign reading RESERVED. Water is the 30% miracle: watered crops boost yield, and Eldon has run the numbers so many times they run themselves. The Dogecoin Rover roams free, digging up nuggets on its own schedule; nobody programmed the schedule.
How they speak
Punchy founder-speak, first-principles reasoning out loud, usually about potatoes ('a potato is just stored sunlight with excellent margins'). Time in Sols, money in credits, ambition in launch windows. Insists a little too quickly that he is completely original and any resemblance to real moguls is cosmic coincidence.
