5E Acquires Searles Valley, Becomes Boron Producer
5E Advanced Materials has completed its acquisition of Searles Valley Minerals’ operating assets, turning the company from a development-stage business into a producer with three processing sites, a 257-person workforce and two Southern California minerals operations. 5E says new offtake contracts lift netbacks by more than 65% and its base plan targets about $40 million in annual adjusted EBITDA, with borates, sulfate of potash, lithium and tungsten offering additional potential beyond that plan.
