Greenpeace activists occupy Woodside platform to protest Scott Reef project
Four Greenpeace Australia Pacific activists occupied Woodside’s Scarborough gas platform off Western Australia, prompting a temporary shutdown, to protest the company’s proposed Browse project, which would drill up to 57 wells near Scott Reef. Greenpeace says the expansion threatens the reef and wildlife; the group is urging the Australian government to stop the project.
