John Hungerford Arkwright

John Hungerford Arkwright (12 July 1833 – 25 May 1905) was Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire from 27 January 1902 to 5 December 1904, and was one of the wealthiest landowners in that county. Biography Arkwright was born at the family home, Hampton Court, near Leominster, in Herefordshire, England, on 12 July 1833. He was the eldest son of John Arkwright Esq. and Sarah, who was the eldest daughter of Sir Hungerford Hoskyns Bart. He was educated at Eton and studied at Christ Church, Oxford. At the age of 25, he inherited the Hampton Court Estate, on his father's death, in 1858.
