Behar Dislocates Shoulder; ‘Will Be Back Soon’

Joy Behar has been placed on injured reserve after dislocating her shoulder.

Behar became a Hot Topic on Thursday’s show when Sunny Hostin explained her absence.

"Unfortunately, our dear friend Joy dislocated her shoulder," she told viewers, according to Entertainment Weekly. She added Behar is recovering and "will be back soon."

Neither Behar nor the show has announced how she injured herself. No specific return date has been set. 

Hostin was Thursday's moderator in lieu of absences by Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, who is working on a project. Former cohost Sherri Shepherd was at the table Thursday, which was scheduled before Behar's injury.

With Goldberg and Behar both absent, she joked that "the two OGs are out today" and that the assignment had apparently gone to the "next oldest" cohost before revising that description to "seasoned."

Entertainment Weekly previously reported that Goldberg would miss several broadcasts over a two-week period while filming the Netflix movie “Women Like Us.”
