WPP CFO Wilson Named Diageo Finance Chief

Diageo named WPP chief financial officer Joanne Wilson to succeed Nik Jhangiani as CFO. Wilson is to join Diageo's board and executive committee in 2027. She is serving a 12-month notice at WPP with no departure date agreed. WPP has begun a formal board search for her replacement and said its 2026 guidance is unchanged from the Interim Results on 6 August. CEO Dave Lewis said: "Nik and I have agreed that, now we have shared our new strategy, this is the right time for this change." WPP CEO Cindy Rose thanked Wilson for her work over three years and said she will help ensure continuity and a smooth handover. Jefferies analyst Edward Mundy said Jhangiani "is well-regarded by investors for his focus on execution, growth and cash delivery." Jhangiani joined from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners two years ago and was interim CEO before Lewis's November appointment. Diageo's plan targets $1 billion in cost savings over three years after North America sales dropped more than 8% in fiscal 2026 and operating profit fell 27% to $3.16 billion. CONTESTED: no factual disputes found in the sourced record. WPP has not named a successor; Wilson's Diageo start is set for 2027.
