ICE Agent Pleads Not Guilty to Fresno Assault
Off-duty ICE agent David Gonzalez III, 32, pleaded not guilty to felony assault, elder abuse and vandalism charges, as well as misdemeanor battery, over an alleged Oct. 9 attack at a Fresno Tower District home. Prosecutors say he was found sleeping on the lawn, then attacked a 72-year-old homeowner and the homeowner’s daughter, and damaged a neighbor’s parked car. The homeowner fired one shot, wounding Gonzalez, who was arrested and hospitalized under police custody. If convicted on all charges, Gonzalez could face up to four years and eight months in custody.
