Northeast Albuquerque Apartment Blast Injures Two, Ruled Accidental
An explosion at an apartment complex on Central Avenue in Northeast Albuquerque damaged several units and led to the building’s evacuation. Two people were injured; one was taken to a hospital, and the other was treated at the scene and released. Fire investigators later said the blast originated inside an apartment and would be classified as accidental, though they have not determined what ignited it. The gas supply to the building was shut off while emergency crews assessed its structural safety.
