Women’s College Golf Sees Multi-State Tournament Action

Arkansas rallied to finish tied for third at the Haskins Intercollegiate after sitting seventh through two rounds, closing with its best round of the tournament, a 4-under 284. Auburn won by 30 strokes at 24-under, while Arkansas’s Sara Brentcheneff finished 7-under and individual competitor Melliyal Schmitt tied for fourth at 5-under. At the Lady Red Wolves Classic, Troy stood sixth after the opening two rounds, and individual Phenyo Sebata was tied for fourth following a bogey-free 5-under 67 in the second round. Austin Peay led the 13-team event by four strokes, with the tournament scheduled to conclude Tuesday; Morehead State was also among the participating teams.
