Vicor raises Q3 royalty growth outlook to over 20 percent

Vicor raised its third-quarter sequential revenue growth guidance from nearly 10 percent to more than 20 percent after market close on Monday, September 21, 2026, citing royalties from a non-exclusive Vertical Power Delivery license. The prior week the company granted that license to a new AI-related OEM with rights to procure VPD modules covered by Vicor patents from unlicensed suppliers. Four leading OEMs and hyperscalers have secured licenses to Vicor's patented power system technology. CEO Patrizio Vinciarelli said suppliers selling otherwise infringing power modules to licensed OEMs and hyperscalers contribute to scalability in an ecosystem requiring multi-source supply chains, and responsible companies respecting patent rights will benefit from expanded market opportunities. MarketWatch reported after-hours shares up 11 percent to $248.03; Benzinga and ScanX reported 12.93 percent to $252.85. Shares had doubled year-to-date and risen more than 300 percent over 12 months. On September 17 after the license news, the stock rose 15.09 percent to $211.66. Analyst consensus rated Buy with an average price target of $381.67.
