U.S. Housing Projects Encompass Hundreds of Homes

Across several U.S. markets, developers and housing organizations are advancing projects spanning market-rate homes, rentals and income-restricted ownership. Summerlin’s Grand Park village in Las Vegas offers more than 70 floor plans across 11 neighborhoods, with homes priced from the $400,000s to nearly $2 million and access to a 90-acre park. In St. Petersburg, Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside is building 40 townhomes starting at $300,000, with income-qualified buyers eligible for its zero-down, 0% APR homeownership program. In South Reno, Hillpointe plans a 358-unit rental community of apartments and townhomes, with construction expected to begin in 2027 and first deliveries projected for 2028. Grand Rapids developers have proposed a $55 million project with 231 apartments on the city’s West Side, though its design and timeline have not yet been announced. In Columbia, a former motel site is being converted into a 30-home rental community intended to offer more attainable housing for working families.
