Aloha Tower Centennial Events Planned Oct. 15–16

Honolulu will mark Aloha Tower’s centennial with two free public events on Oct. 15 and 16, 2026. Thursday’s ceremony will bless and reopen the renovated 10th-floor observation deck, closed to the public since the COVID-19 pandemic; the deck will feature harbor views and exhibits on the tower, Honolulu Harbor and the Falls of Clyde. Friday’s celebration will include live music, food trucks and a drone light show over the harbor at 8 p.m. Opened in 1926, the 184-foot tower welcomed arriving ships during the Boat Days era, served as a military control center during World War II and was Hawaii’s tallest structure for four decades.
