Toronto Maple Leafs rookie Gavin McKenna scored his first NHL goal Tuesday against the Nashville Predators, doing so in his fourth professional game. The 18-year-old first-overall pick also recorded his first NHL point with an assist. McKenna arrived in Toronto after a standout freshman season at Penn State, where he set program records and earned Big Ten and national honors. His first goal marks an early milestone as he adjusts to the NHL.
