Survey Finds Half Lose Money on International Orders
A survey of 1,000 shoppers commissioned by online marketplace EveryMarket found that respondents were most comfortable buying from Canadian online sellers (83%) and least comfortable with sellers in India (38%). Overall, shoppers expressed wariness toward international sellers, and about half said they had lost money on an overseas order. The survey also found that 78% had assumed a product was less safe or lower quality because of its country of origin, though some respondents said they now judge products individually or focus on brand and product instead.
