Stormzy races the beach a year after Niall Harbison saved him from a car crash

Stormzy tore down the sidewalk and along the beach, coat shining, when his new family brought him back to Happy Doggo.
Niall Harbison founded the Thailand rescue in 2021. It sterilizes and feeds thousands of street dogs, runs a retirement village for seniors and opened a full-service medical clinic named for his Golden Retriever Tina. Last October he took in the German Shepherd mix after a car left extensive brain damage. Euthanasia looked the most humane option. The team met it with daily physical therapy, patience and affection.
"It took months to get him back walking again," on-screen text said over early clips. Harbison later wrote: "First he was told that he had to be put to sleep. Then it looked like he might never walk again but what nobody had counted on was the heart within little Stormzy. I remember the days trying to teach him to walk again. He must have fallen over a thousand times but every single time he got back up."
Adopted in January, Stormzy went home. His parents shared a welcome-home video. "Stormzy's parents just shared a little video of his journey home. To say I am proud of him is an understatement," Harbison posted. He also shared, "You won't believe what little Stormzy does every night before bed. He is just too precious," and commenters described that clip as the dog watching wildlife programs narrated by David Attenborough.
On the return visit the video caught him free again. "Today his parents brought him back to where it all started." "He couldn't stop running and having fun. I think he remembered." Harbison called it probably the happiest he had ever been to see a dog.
"What a difference a year makes. He could have been just another statistic but look at Stormzy go now!"
"In the dark wet days I thought he might have a limited life but I could never in my wildest dreams have imagined Stormzy coming back looking like this. He is a wonderful reminder to never give up In life and to always keep fighting. I've not had as enjoyable a couple of hours in years."
